About the Platform
Gwella is the Leadership Portal managed by the HEIW Leadership and Succession team with the goal of providing users with an accessible, intuitive system that allows them to access a range of compassionate leadership resources with ease. This platform is accessible to everyone within health and social care in Wales regardless of their position or qualification.
The HEIW Leadership portal is a key enabler of the Health and Care Workforce Strategy ambition that ‘by 2030, leaders in the health and social care system will display collective and compassionate leadership’. Leaders across the system and at all levels across health and care Wales will have access to a digital leadership portal that provides virtual classroom functionality, events management, network management, digital learning resources and blended learning pathway development, profile personalisation, individual networking opportunities and the ability to be sign posted to resources of interest.
Gwella Functionalities
The provision of access to a range of digital leadership materials, resources, networks and support is a key enabler to supplementing formal leadership development and influencing the shift towards a compassionate and collective culture in teams, organisations and the system.
